Dr. Arun Kumar S Haripad, a renowned poet and writer from Kerala, has recently released his latest book ‘ Novu ‘ a collection of Malayalam poems. The book was unveiled at Thiruvananthapuram by the Honorable Minister of Education,V.Sivankutti at a ceremony Dr. Arun Kumar S Haripad, who is known for his passionate writing, has made significant contributions to literature over the past 30 years. His new book marks his sixth collection of poems and is a continuation of his impactful work.This book is written to help the land slide suffering people of wayanad.The profit will be sent to poor suffering people of wayanad . Alongside his poetry, he has also released three albums and is celebrated as a bilingual poet and lyricist proficient in both Malayalam and English.
Born on May 30, 1980, in Haripad, Dr. Arun Kumar S Haripad comes from a distinguished background. His father, Siva Sankara Pillai, is a retired teacher, and his late mother, Dr. L. Jayasree, was a respected professional. Dr. Arun Kumar is highly educated, holding degrees including an MA, BEd, SET, PhD in English, and a Bachelor of Law.
During the release event, the Minister honored Dr. Arun Kumar for his ongoing contributions to world literature. The book’s title, reflecting themes of love and emotional depth, is seen as particularly relevant in today’s world. The Minister expressed hope that the poet’s work would be a valuable addition to Malayalam literature.
Dr. Arun Kumar S Haripad also serves as the state president of the Ee Yugam Literary and Cultural Association and editor of Darppanam .He is a leader in IPTA and Yuvakalasahiti . He has received numerous awards for his work, including the Kerala Kalidasan Award, ONV award , Kunjikuttan Thampuran Smaraka Award, Words Worth Award for English poets and was recently honored by Minister Kadannappalli Ramachandran with Kerala Kalidasan Award .
Dr.Arun’s nov was made with two front cover pages for the purpose of releasing it at Thiruvananthapuram and at his home home place .
Novu was released at his birth place Haripad. There it was released by the famous poet Kureepuzha Sreekumar.An album related to the suffering of the people of wayanad was also released .
To celebrate his victory as a writer ,Dr.Arun received the first Manishada award. Manishada the oldest literary and cultural association in Kerala with 36 years experience.It bestowed it’s first Manishada award on Ezhuthalan Dr Arun Kumar.The award included a. Momento , certificate, shawl , and 10000 cash prize.
