“What is the composition of an entrepreneur’s blood?” I was asked during an informal business lunch in the early 2000s. My answer was simple: it’s made up of foresight, the guts to swim with sharks, and the zeal to achieve. I believed that then, and it’s still the foundation of my approach today.

I joined the Indian-made Foreign Liquor industry about fifteen years ago, stepping into a business that had already been built with incredible vision and resilience by my uncle, Mr. Tilak Raj Sharma. A veteran in the industry, he laid the groundwork, turning our venture into one of the most respected in the market. His contributions were monumental in establishing the foundation of this business, and I feel privileged to have continued the journey he started.

When I came on board, my focus was clear—to scale and modernize our operations while staying true to the values that my uncle embedded into the company. I led the establishment of distilleries from scratch, setting up key units across Punjab and Rajasthan. These efforts not only increased production capacity but also positioned us to meet the growing demand for high-quality liquor across the country.

The journey wasn’t without its challenges—supply chain hurdles, shifting consumer preferences, and regulatory changes—but with a strong focus on quality, local flavor, and partnerships, we succeeded. Today, I’m proud to say that our brands are among the best-selling in India.

As an industry insider, I’ve seen our growth from a regional player to a national powerhouse, all while honoring Mr. Sharma’s legacy. Every bottle on the shelf is a testament to the vision, resilience, and passion that have driven us forward, and as it truly said “The show must go on”….
